Audio with Auntie Phyllis - April ('88?)
This C90 tape was recorded by Greg Brown in the kitchen at Glynawen, Caerwedros, Ceredigion, Wales around 1988, during the visit of Auntie Phyllis - my mother's aunt. The photo shows the cassette and cover with details. The book under the tape is Gloria Jean Moore's 1986 book about Anglo-Indian history "The Lotus and The Rose". The photo shows Auntie Phyllis aged 17 at Colaba, Bombay.
The recording is below in four parts - digitised in 2009 from the 90 minute original. The volume level of Part 1a is higher than that of the other parts. I'd like to re-digitise the recording with a better tape machine - the mechanism is rather noisy here I'm afraid.
